Erasmus+ - Finland: Week 1

               On Monday we left to catch the train in Choceň before it was even 4 a.m., and at about    6 a.m. we were on our way to Prague. We got to the airport on time and even caught the plane we were supposed to catch. In early afternoon we arrived to Helsinki, then went by bus to Turku, and there our exchange students picked us up.

               Right the second day we went to school where we got a quick briefing and a tour through school. We went to our classes and after that we had lunch. Lunches here are pretty good in my opinion and especially the glasses of milk they provide are awesome. After lunch I met the other exchange students, one from Germany, one from Japan and one from the USA. Over the week we had some classes together and already friends.

                Me, my exchange student and Terka with her exchange student, went to a gym together and are now planning to go there more often even though me and Topias will probably try other gyms aswell. My friends from Germany and Japan also invited me to an another gym on Friday so I got into this whole thing even more.

               On Wednesday me with Terka joined the students from the short exchange on the afternoons. First it was for a hike around a lake in a national park and the second day it was sauna and ice swimming. And the sauna with ice swimming is one of my favourite experiences so far because I could look where my limit is and actually try to swim in a lake that is frozen.

               For the weekend we decided to have some rest on Saturday where we just played billiard. And just to mention I was able to represent our school proudly by beating Topias 5-0 on games even though I don´t play billiard. For Sunday they had prepared a ship cruise for us that took us from Turku to Åland and then back with an another ship.
