Veronika Holíková from 3. A4 also took part in the short-term group mobility in Finland. Read on if you want to find out more about Day 3 of the student exchange focusing on Healthy Lifestyle, Sports and Wellbeing.
We started our Wednesday really actively. Our Finnish exchange partners had their lessons and we went to the school sports arena. Some of us played soccer or tried pickleball, while the others were working on their abs with Ms. Moravcová. After PE lesson, we went for a delicious lunch to the school canteen. We had spinach pancakes with mashed potatoes and lingonberries and of course a glass of milk.
At 11.50 arrived bus which took us and Austrian exchange students to the Kurjenrahkan National Park. We were hiking around lake Savojärvi. The lake is surrounded by swamps so most of the time we were walking on wooden walkways. The weather was just perfect. Frozen lake and snow cover mixed with shining sun made it really beautiful. As we were walking, we took a lot of photos and enjoyed the nice weather. The journey was around two hours long, but it went by very quickly. When we reached the end of the hike, we got grilled sausages which one of the teachers made for us, and we also got some cookies.
After the snack, we took a bus back home. Then we split up and went to our host families, where everyone had their own plans for the evening. Some of us met up later and played board games together. We talked, laughed a lot, and spent some more time together. It was a really nice way to end the day.
