Dutch polyphony
Polyfonic style was developed since 15th to 17th century. On developement participated the generation of composers, which came from north France, Belgium and The Nedherlands. Instrumental style was changed into a capella and it extended to all over the Europe. Technical perfection was symptomatic of imitation technology, the work with assume thematic material (cantus firmus), new elements at harmony.

Holland and music
History
15th and 16th century is in signal of developement Dutch polyphony, which extended all over the Europe. With developement of instrumental music in 17th century production of music instruments was meaningful-chiefly keyboard-instruments. Developement of organ music at composition is meaningful too. New musicial associations arose. (collegium musicium=private musicial circles and societies. There went down profesional and amateurish composers and they operated music. Societies were extended in Germany in 16th - 18th century - but in Bohemia and Moravia none- In 20th century it was name for musical groups of different intentions) And since first half of 19th century national musicians established concert society with symphony orchestra. Beginning of 20th cen. national opera-ensembles, 1908 conservatoire was established in Den Haag. Composers of 20th c. :Johan Wagenaor, Gillaume Landré, Willem Pijper.
Present
In Holland there are many bands. They don´t sing in Dutch language, but in English, because English is better for singing. Dutch people love music and I think, that they listen to similar music like Czech people- for example Robbie Williams, Gigi d´Agustino, Kylie Minoque... Dutch singer are Tryntje Oosterhuis, Marco Borsato(I think, that he is the best of), Frans Bauer...and Dutch bands: for example Blof, Chipz and Fontane.
